Christmas 2013

As usual we took a trip to see Greg's side of the family for Christmas and managed to spend a couple of days in Indianapolis on the way up with some good friends.  The kids had fun playing with Nolan and Lucas at Kevin and Jen and Greg and I had a great time reconnecting with Kevin, Jen, Dori and Tom!

How big???

The time was too short as usual but next stop was Mimi and Papa's house!!!

I still am not sure why the singing snowmen hold such a strong appeal to the younger kids but it looks like Aaron is still in love with them!  (-:

Most of the time while we were there Greg's siblings were elsewhere so we had a lot of time with Mimi and Papa all to ourselves.  We did lots of fun things with them, making special foods, and even took the boys to see the movie Frozen one day.  The local theater has free refills on pop and popcorn no matter how small or big you get and even though we got a bigger size of both thinking that it would mean fewer trips out we ended up going through 4 containers of popcorn and 3 of pop!  I was amazed when they still ate a fair amount at supper that night.

Cheese cake!

Caramels ready to be dipped in chocolate!

On Christmas Day we had a special meal with Greg's Grandma and one aunt and cousin.  Luke helped get the table ready.

The main course was baked Salmon!!!  SOOOOO GOOOOD!

At the end of the week we had about 2 days with all the cousins there.  Luke was super excited to have his cousins there to play with and I think we all wished for more time, but we did a lot in the time we had!

The kids wearing their sweaters made by my mom!

Presents!

Greg's mom agreed to make her amazing majestic pears for dessert!

Unfortunately we had to rush home after such a short time, Greg and I both had to work New Years Eve, but we can't wait to go back!
