Greg's parents came for a short visit over Easter weekend and brought our niece and nephew Anna and Isaac with them for the first time! They got here just in time for supper of fried rice and brought along a DVD version of Frozen which the kids all wanted to watch.
Since they couldn't be here for the boys' birthdays and Anna had also had a birthday on April 11th they brought presents with them so they could see the kids open them.
Anna got rubber bands and an organizer for her rainbow loom to make bracelets with.
Luke got a very cool and massive set of legos. We are still working on putting it all together!
Aaron got a pilot's hat and book and a toy airplane that included a drill so that he can take it apart and put it back together! Definitely a big hit!
He still plays with it everyday. I keep finding him drilling all kinds of things, like his kinetic sand that he got from my parents. (-:
Dennis and Anita both got in some good time with Sarah throughout their short visit and Anna held her several times as well!
The next day we had kind of a lazy morning and finally got on the road and decided we needed to stop at our favorite local coffee place, Mojo's!
The boys got hot chocolate, the best I have ever tasted!
Anna got to have her first Late, only one shot with peanut butter and chocolate flavoring! Yum! I think she is hooked!
Our next stop was the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson.
They have a ton of cool things to read and look at and of course we just ran through it as fast as the kids could which I think drove Dennis nuts. We had tickets to see a really cool show and by the time it was 10 minutes to the start Dennis was no where to be found, so Isaac and I went back through the museum to find him still reading everything at the beginning! I think we are going to have to come again without kids on their next visit. (-: After the museum we went to Fredy's for a late lunch and then home again. Anna sat with Sarah and I think they both fell asleep pretty fast.
After getting home Dennis and Anita moved hotels and the kids went swimming while Greg stayed home with a sleeping Aaron and Anita watched Sarah and filled Easter Eggs. We had supper of popcorn and fresh fruit and veggies while watching Frozen again. The next day was supposed to be rainy so we decided to do the Easter Egg Hunt that evening before it got too dark. There were a ton of eggs!
Sunday morning we had yummy breakfast casserole and I tried to make resurrection roles which were kind of a flop. We went to church together and then took quick family pictures before it started to rain.
They wanted to get a good start on the drive home yet that day so they left before supper. We wish they could have stayed a couple of weeks instead of a couple of days but we will take what we can get!
